Steve Blank, my neighbor, was fishing the Mississippi River near Winona, MN on April 4, 2012 using a chartreuse 1/2 oz “Killer” jig when this behemoth hit at 11:45pm. The fight was tough as Steve was fishing alone but he was able to net the fish and the 28 1/2 inch, 10 lb 8oz trophy was his. His fish was mounted by Dan Rolbiecki from Ridge Top Taxidermy, Fountain City, WI, ridgetoptax@yahoo.com and Dan did a fabulous job on Steve’s trophy.
